TCU vs Central Arkansas 12/28/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Central Arkansas Bears and the TCU Horned Frogs meet in college basketball action from the Ed & Rae Schollmeier Arena on Wednesday.

The Central Arkansas Bears will look to rebound from a third straight loss after a 75-66 loss to Little Rock in their last game. Camren Hunter leads the Bears in scoring and assists with 16.9 PPG and 3.8 APG while Eddy Kayouloud has 15 PPG with a team-high 6.5 RPG to lead the Bears on the glass as Central Arkansas’ top rebounder. Collin Cooper has 11.2 PPG to cap off the trio of double-digit scorers for Central Arkansas up to this point in the year. As a team, Central Arkansas is averaging 75.8 PPG on 42.8% shooting from the field, 33.9% from three and 75.1% from the foul line this season.

The TCU Horned Frogs will try to build on their eight-game win streak after a 75-71 win on the road over Utah last time out. Mike Miles Jr. has 17.8 PPG along with 3.6 RPG and 3 APG. Emanuel Miller has 13.3 PPG with 5.8 RPG. Damion Baugh has 11 PPG and 4.6 RPG this season to cap off the group of double-digit scorers for TCU so far this season. Eddie Lampkin Jr. has a team-high 7.6 RPG to lead the Horned Frogs on the glass while Shahada Wells has a team-high 3.3 APG to lead TCU in the assist department. As a team, TCU is averaging 76.8 PPG on 45.1% shooting from the field, 30.6% from three and 69.2% from the foul line this season.

Central Arkansas is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games following a loss and 4-0-1 ATS in their last 5 games following an ATS loss while the over is 10-2-1 in their last 13 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600. TCU is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 home games.

I get the case to be made on both sides in this game, but I’m on the over here. I don’t really trust Central Arkansas to get many stops against even TCU and the Horned Frogs have given up some points in spots against lesser teams as well. All in all I think we have a higher-scoring game on our hands here, so give me the over here.
