Kansas State has just the one loss to Butler 76-64 on November 30 so far. Since then it’s been wins over Wichita State, Abilene Christian, Incarnate Word, Nebraska, Radford, West Virginia, Texas, Baylor and Oklahoma State.

On Tuesday in the Oklahoma State matchup, the Wildcats trailed 32-30 by halftime. Kansas State posted a 35-25 run in the second and won the game 65-57. Markquis Nowell led the team on 20 points with seven assists.

Over on the TCU side, they only lost one of their first 14 games. That defeat came November 14 to Northwestern State 64-63. Last weekend the Horned Frogs took another loss, this time 69-67 to Iowa State.

In Wednesday’s matchup versus Texas, TCU took a 42-29 edge into the break. The Frogs were outscored 50-33 in the second half and lost 79-75. Emanuel Miller led the way on 21 points, and Mike Miles added 16 points.

PICK: I’m leaning toward Kansas State in this one. You could probably make a good case either way, though. The Wildcats had a slow start versus Oklahoma State in their last game, but to their credit they were able to power out the win with a strong second half. Kansas State has scored 71 or more points in seven of their last eight outings, including a whopping 116 against a great Texas team. TCU will certainly be a stout opponent, but if the Wildcats are playing well I like them on a cover here. Should be a great game to watch.
