TCU vs Louisiana-Monroe 11/17/22 College Basketball Picks, Predictions, Odds

The UL-Monroe Warhawks and the TCU Horned Frogs meet in college basketball action from the Ed & Rae Schollmeier Arena on Thursday night.

The UL-Monroe Warhawks will look to build on a 105-56 win over subdivision Central Baptist last time out. Nika Metskhvarishvili led the way with 15 points on 5 of 8 with 3 threes while Victor Bafutto added 14 points on 6 of 6 shooting with a team-high 9 rebounds. Savion Gaillon and Tyreke Locure each had 13 points with Locure adding 4 assists while Thomas Howell and Langston Powell each had 12 points with Howell logging 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Devon Hancock added 11 points to finish off the scoring in double figures for UL-Monroe in the win.

The TCU Horned Frogs will try to bounce back from a 64-63 loss to Northwestern State last time out. Chuck O’Bannon Jr. led the way with 12 points while Micah Peavy added 10 points as the only other double-digit scorer for TCU in the losing effort. Eddie Lampkin Jr. also contributed a team-high 11 rebounds while Shahada Wells added a team-high 5 assists and 3 steals as well in the defeat for the Horned Frogs.

UL-Monroe is 1-5-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a win and 2-6-1 ATS in their last 9 games against a team with a winning record while the over is 6-0 in their last 6 games overall. TCU is 12-25-2 ATS in their last 39 home games and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10 games against a team with a winning percentage above .600 while the over is 8-3 in their last 11 home games.

This is a big number to give up with TCU, but the problem for UL-Monroe is that the Warhawks’ lone wins this year have come against non-D-I opposition, leading that record to look a bit deceiving. TCU had a bad loss to Northwestern State so I think the Horned Frogs will come out a bit more fired up in this one. Give me the Horned Frogs.
