The Ohio Bobcats and the Toledo Rockets meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Savage Arena. Ohio is 9-8 overall this year. The Bobcats lost to Kent State in their most recent outing. As for Toledo, they’re 11-6 overall and fresh off a win versus Northern Illinois. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Ohio Bobcats

Ohio started out at 7-5 this year with losses to Belmont, Michigan, Detroit, Marshall and Florida. Since then the Bobcats are 2-3 with losses to Buffalo, Bowling Green and Kent State during that stretch.

Back on Friday versus Kent State, the Bobcats were up 31-30 by halftime. Ohio couldn’t hold it though and got outscored 40-34 in the second for a 70-65 defeat. Dwight Wilson was tops on the team with 27 points and nine rebounds.

Toledo Rockets

Over on the Toledo side, they were 8-4 through 12 games this year with losses to UMKC, East Carolina, George Mason and Marshall. The Rockets have since gone 3-2 with wins over Lourdes, Western Michigan and Northern Illinois.

In the Saturday game versos Northern Illinois, the Rockets were up 41-23 by halftime. Toledo scored another 43 points in the second and took the win 84-67. Dante Maddox was the leading team scorer with 18 points and two boards.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll probably stick with Toledo in this one. The Rockets have a couple of dud outings over this current 4-2 stretch in losses to Ball State and Kent State. Toledo has still been scoring very well though; they’ve hit 69 or more points in all but one game so far this year. As for Ohio, they’re just 1-3 over their last four games but they’ve also hit 72 or more points in three of those outings. This one’s looking like a pretty high-scoring affair, and I like Toledo to power out the cover.
