The Bryant Bulldogs and the Tulane Green Wave meet Tuesday in college basketball action from Devlin Fieldhouse. Bryant is fresh off a Sunday matchup versus Cincinnati. In that one the Bulldogs fell in blowout fashion. As for Tulane, they’re sitting at 5-3 and coming off a loss to Fordham. Bryant beat Thomas (ME) and Dartmouth in their first two games before a loss to FAU. The Bulldogs hit a win streak over FIU, Detroit, Syracuse and Framingham State before another loss to Brown.

In Sunday’s matchup versus Cincinnati, the Bulldogs were down 40-24 by the break. Bryant had a 57-47 deficit in the second half for a 97-71 loss. Charles Pride posted 23 points, and Antwan Walker doubled on 11 points and 12 boards.

Over on the Tulane side, they went 3-1 over their first four this year with victories versus UMBC, McNeese State and Charleston Southern before a loss to Nevada. The Wave would then beat Rhode Island, lose to Western Kentucky and beat LA-Monroe.

On Saturday versus Fordham, Tulane took another loss. The Wave were up 45-37 by the break but then got outscored 58-45 from there in a 95-90 loss. Leading scorers Kevin Cross and Jalen Cook each posted 25 points.

PICK: I’ll probably stick with Tulane in this one. The Wave had a great first half against a solid Fordham team in their last outing but couldn’t keep it up after the break. Tulane ended up shooting 43.5 percent overall with 29-of-34 (85.3 percent) from the line and a 43-36 rebounding deficit. The Green Wave have scored well in comparable matchups so far this year, hitting 75 or more points in six of their eight games. If Tulane is on point in this one they shouldn’t have too many issues making the cover.
