UC Irvine vs Boise State College Basketball Picks, Odds, Predictions 11/13/2021

The Boise State Broncos and the UC-Irvine Anteaters meet in college basketball action from Bren Events Center on Saturday night.

The Boise State Broncos will come into this game looking to build on their season-opening 76-56 win over Utah Valley in their last game. Devonaire Doutrive led the Broncos with 18 points along with 6 rebounds while Nate Smith had 15 points on 6 of 6 shooting with a pair of steals and 5 rebounds. Abu Kigab had 12 points with team-highs of 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and a pair of blocks while Mladen Armus and Emmanuel Akot each had 11 points to cap off the scoring in double figures for Boise State in the win. As a team, Boise Staet shot 51.6% from the field, 20% from three and 81.5% from the foul line in the winning effort.

The UC-Irvine Anteaters will be looking to rebound from a 62-51 loss to New Mexico State to start their season. Collin Welp led the Anteaters with 13 points on 5 of 14 shooting with 5 rebounds while Dawson Baker had 11 points as the only other UC-Irvine player to score in double figures in the loss. Austin Johnson also had a team-high 6 rebounds in the losing effort for Irvine. As a team, UC-Irvine shot 30.6% from the field, 19% from three and 75% from the foul line.

Boise State is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Saturday games and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games against a team with a losing record while the under is 4-1 in their last 5 Saturday games. UC-Irvine is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall and 23-9-2 ATS in their last 34 home games while the under I s9-4 in their last 13 games following an ATS loss.

I get the case that could be made for the Anteaters at home, but I really didn’t like how UC-Irvine looked against New Mexico State. The Broncos aren’t the highest-scoring team out there, but they could look like it if Irvine doesn’t show up again. We’re only being asked to lay a bucket, so given what I’ve seen through the opening games, I’ll lay it and play it with Boise State here.
