Arizona vs UCLA Prediction
I’ll stick with UCLA. The Bruins are bringing back three starters and five players overall from last year’s 24-win season, which has helped feed into a heavy sense of preseason optimism for this team. UCLA’s offense will be run in part by Trent Perry (12.6 PPG) and Eric Dailey (11.6 PPG). Perry will likely replace Dent at the point, and if all goes well we won’t see a huge drop in production at that spot. The major question mark this year is going to be defense, as the team ranked just 49th in adjusted defensive efficiency a season ago.
As for Arizona, they’ve been searching far and wide for more international talent during the last few offseasons. The Wildcats have found some intriguing players to pair with 6-7 Ivan Kharchenkov and 7-2 Motiejus Krivas this year, adding some more European flair to a squad already stacked with talent. The potential is there for the Wildcats once again; if they can gel well this season we’ll be seeing them in a return to the Final Four.
Matchup Stats and Info
The UCLA Bruins and the Arizona Wildcats meet Monday in college basketball action from T-Mobile Arena. Here’s an Arizona vs UCLA prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Arizona vs UCLA pick.
UCLA Bruins Betting Preview
The Bruins were able to make their presence known in a stacked Big Ten last season, eventually going 24-12 overall with a 13-7 run in the conference. UCLA finished down in seventh place among the standings but took out Rutgers and Michigan State before a loss to Purdue in the conference tourney. After beating UCF in the NCAA Tournament the Bruins lost to UConn.
Moving ahead to 2026-27, the Bruins have head coach Mick Cronin back in the fold for his eighth season. UCLA did lose some key names from last year though, including Donovan Dent (LSU transfer) and Tyler Bilodeau (drafted by the Brooklyn Nets). Still, the Bruins retain three of their starters from last year and thus have some pretty hefty expectations this season.
Arizona Wildcats Betting Preview
Over on the Arizona side, they had a great run in 2025-26. The Wildcats rolled to a 36-3 overall record with a 16-2 result in the conference, giving the team a Big 12 regular-season title (their first ever). The Wildcats won the conference tournament with a victory over Houston in the championship, then got all the way to the Final Four where they fell to eventual NCAA Tournament champs Michigan 91-73.
This year the Wildcats will have Tommy Llloyd back for his sixth season as head coach. He’ll lose a few starters from last year, specifically Jaden Bradley (13.3 PPG), Brayden Burries (16.1 PPG) and Koa Peat (14.1 PPG). Other key contributors who have moved on include center Tobe Awaka (9.3 PPG; 9.1 RPG) and Anthony Dell’Orso (8.5 PPG).
