The New Orleans Privateers and the Utah State Aggies meet in college basketball action from the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum on Saturday night.
The New Orleans Privateers come into this game on the heels of an 80-67 loss to Louisiana in their last game. Derek St. Hilaire leads the Privateers in scoring with 20 PPG along with 3.4 RPG and 2.2 APG while Troy Green has 12.9 PPG with a team-high 3.4 APG and 4.4 RPG to make up the duo of double-digit scorers for New Orleans so far this season. Simeon Kirkland has 9.1 PPG while Robby Robinson has a team-high 6.1 RPG as well this season. As a team, New Orleans is averaging 72.4 PPG on 46.2% shooting from the field, 34.2% from three and 71.8% from the foul line while allowing 72.9 PPG on 43.7% shooting from the field and 30.2% from three this season.
The Utah State Aggies will be looking to bounce back from an 82-71 loss at the hands of BYU last time out. Justin Bean leads the Aggies in scoring and rebounding, averaging a double-double per game with 21.9 PPG and 11.9 RPG while Brandon Horvath has 13.3 PPG as the only other double-digit scorer for Utah State up to this point in the year. Rylan Jones and Brock Miller each have 9+ PPG with Jones logging 9.2 PPG and a team-high 5.3 APG this season. As a team, Utah State is averaging 77.9 PPG on 48.3% shooting from the field, 36.5% rom three and 75.2% from the foul line while allowing 68.8 PPG on 41.6% shooting from the field and 34.1% from three this season.

It’s hard to really know what to expect from either team here as we’ve seen New Orleans compete and get blown out in the underdog role while Utah State’s had good and bad days as a decent-sized favorite. I’m leaning towards the over here as these are two teams that can fill it up like nobody’s business and I think we have a fairly high-scoring affair on our hands here so give me the over.
