Virginia Preview

The Virginia Cavaliers are 23-9 (13-7) this season after they defeated Boston College in overtime by a score of 66-60 in their last game. Virginia trailed 35-29 at halftime, but they were able to force overtime, where they out scored BC 9-3 for the win. The Cavaliers shot 40.3% from the field, but only 44.4% on free throws in the game. Virginia defeated Georgia Tech by a score of 72-57 in the game prior to BC, but lost to Duke before that. The Cavaliers are scoring 63.5 points per game with 32.4 rebounds per game and 15 assists per game, while giving up 59.1 points against per game this season. Reece Beekman is averaging 14.3 points per game, 3.5 rebounds per game, and 6.0 assists per game. Virginia is shooting 43.7% from the field, 64.7% on free throws, and 36.7% on three pointers this year.

NC State vs Virginia Betting Prediction

NC State is coming off of a huge win against Duke and they are now two wins away from flying past the bubble and into the NCAA Tournament. The Wolfpack have won three games in a row, but their defense has struggled at times this year. Virginia was able to get past Boston College in overtime on Thursday, but they had another sluggish offensive game with some poor free throw shooting. The Cavaliers are one of the worst free throw shooting teams in the country, which is going to cost them eventually. NC State won the first meeting between these teams by a score of 76-60, while Virginia won the second game by a score of 59-53. This should be a great game to watch, but I think NC State is the play. The Wolfpack are playing very well and Virginia is really struggling from the free throw line.
