Oakland got off to a very nice 13-4 start over their first 17 games. The Grizzlies’ only losses in that stretch came to West Virginia, Alabama, Bowling Green and Michigan State. Oakland had a nice six-game winning streak heading into Thursday’s matchup.

In the Thursday game versus Milwaukee, Oakland was outscored 37-23 in the first half. Despite 55 second-half points the Grizzlies ended up losing 88-78. Jamal Cain led the way on 17 points with seven rebounds and three steals in the losing effort.

Over on the Green Bay side, they got off to a rough start this year with losses in each of their first five. The Phoenix would then take out Wisconsin-Superior and Robert Morris, but then hit a 1-8 stretch that featured only a win over IUPUI.

Matched up against Detroit on Thursday, the Phoenix scored 38 points in the first half and 32 more from there in a 70-63 win. Tops in scoring was Cade Meyer with 16 points and five boards. Donovan Ivory added 13 points and five rebounds as well.

The Phoenix are 1-4 ATS in their last five after a straight-up win and the over is 9-4 in their last 13 at home. The over is 47-23 in Green Bay’s last 70 Saturday games.

Meanwhile, the Grizzlies are 6-1 ATS in their last seven overall and 5-1 ATS in their last six after an ATS loss. The over is 8-2 in Oakland’s last 10 Saturday games.

PICK: I’m going to take a stab on Oakland. The Grizzlies lost a bit of luster after their loss to Milwaukee thanks to a bad first half. That said, Oakland has still been scoring very well this year. They’ve hit 70 or more points in each of their last 13 outings. As for Green Bay, they’re coming off a nice effort in their Thursday victory. That said, Oakland shouldn’t have too much trouble scoring in this one and I don’t think the Phoenix will be able to keep the pace.
