The IUPUI Jaguars and the Wright State Raiders meet Wednesday in college basketball action from Nutter Center. IUPUI is 4-21 on the year so far and fresh off a win over Green Bay. As for Wright State, they’re sitting at 14-11 on the season. The Raiders beat Robert Morris int heir last outing. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

IUPUI Jaguars

IUPUI could only manage to win three of their first 16 games this year, kicking off the season on a rough stretch. Since then IUPUI is just 1-8 with losses to Robert Morris, Fort Wayne, Cleveland State, Oakland, Detroit, Fort Wayne again, Cleveland State again and Milwaukee.

The Jaguars finally got back into the win column on Saturday versus Green Bay. IUPUI took a 31-25 edge into the second half and hit a 37-28 run from there for a 68-53 victory. DJ Jackson and Vincent Brady led the way on 16 points each.

Wright State Raiders

Over on the Wright State side, they opened up the season on a sketchy 9-7 run through their first 16 games. The Raiders are 5-4 since then with wins over Green Bay, Milwaukee (twice), Green Bay again and Robert Morris.

In the Robert Morris matchup on Saturday, the Raiders were ahead 41-34 going into the second half. Wright State kept up the pressure with 41 more points and won it 82-67. Trey Calvin scored 24 points and Brandon Noel doubled on 16 points and 15 rebounds.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’m going to stick with Wright State. The line’s probably too thick to mess with, though. The Raiders have a talented offense this season; they’ve hit 73 or more points in nine straight games and 77 or more in eight consecutive outings. The last time these teams met up back on January 2, Wright State secured an 82-68 win at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. As for IUPUI, they’ve been scoring well lately with 68 or more points in six straight games. The Jaguars are still giving up a ton of points on the other side however, and I don’t think they’ll be able to keep a cover pace.
