Wyoming vs Air Force Pick – Basketball Predictions & Odds 2/17/23

The Air Force Falcons and the Wyoming Cowboys meet Friday in college basketball action from Arena-Auditorium. Air Force is currently 13-14 on the year. The Falcons lost to Utah State on Tuesday. As for Wyoming, they’re sitting at 8-17 overall following a win over New Mexico in their last outing. Check back all season long for free college basketball picks at Sports Chat Place.

Air Force Falcons

Air Force managed to stay above .500 in the early-going this year, hitting a 12-8 run in their first 20 outings. The Falcons have since won just one of seven however, losing to San Jose State, New Mexico, Boise State, Nevada, Colorado State and Utah State in that time.

On Tuesday versus Utah State, Air Force was down 40-32 by halftime. The Falcons didn’t get any closer on a 40-33 second-half deficit and lost 80-65. Jake Heidbreder was the leading scorer on 16 points and four assists.

Wyoming Cowboys

Over on the Wyoming side, they started out the year on a rough 5-13 run through 18 games. The Cowboys are 3-4 in their last seven, taking losses to UNLV, San Jose State, UNLV again and Boise State along the way.

In the Tuesday matchup versus New Mexico, Wyoming got off to a 32-25 start by halftime. The Cowboys kept it up with a 38-31 run from there and won 70-56. Hunter Maldonado led the team on a double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’ll take a crack at Wyoming in this one. The Cowboys are coming off a nice road win over a pretty solid New Mexico team. Wyoming is also 2-1 in their last three home games and should post a decent points total here. The last time these teams saw each other was at Clune Arena back on January 17. Air Force was down 36-32 at the break in that one but won 82-74 thanks to a 50-38 second half. Wyoming should have better fortunes at home in this one, and I like the Cowboys to bang out the cover. Should be a fun matchup to watch.
