The Louisville Cardinals will look to find some consistency after alternating wins and losses in each of their six games so far this year after a 34-17 win over Virginia on the road last time out. Malik Cunningham’s thrown for 968 yards, 3 touchdowns and 3 interceptions on 62.2% passing while also rushing for a team-high 457 yards and 9 scores. As a unit, Louisville has 22 sacks and 8 interceptions this season.
Pitt is 8-1 ATS in their last 9 road games and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following a win while the over is 8-2 in their last 10 October games. Louisville is 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a win while the over is 4-0 in their last 4 games following an ATS win.
I get the reasoning for backing either side here, but I’m looking at the over. Pitt has really been lighting it up offensively pretty much all year long, scoring 27+ in five of their six games while Louisville’s hit 31+ despite the in and out status of Malik Cunningham. I think this has potential to see both teams hit the 30s here, so I’ll side with the over in this one.
