In this article, we will formulate a Boston College vs Michigan State prediction for this College Football Week 4 game on Saturday, September 21st, at BC Alumni Stadium. Let’s take a look at a Michigan State Spartans vs Boston College Eagles pick.
Can Boston College Bounce Back?
Boston College comes into this game with a 2-1 record, but they are coming off a loss in the last game. Boston College faced off against Missouri in the last game, and they ended up losing 27-21. At the end of the first quarter they were up 7-3 but as the game went on they couldn’t make the plays and ended up losing. Quarterback Thomas Castellanos was good, but the interceptions were an issue, and they really need to be cleaned up here.
Castellanos completed 16 of his 28 passes for 249 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions. If it wasn’t for the interceptions, they probably would have come away with the victory. The defense had no issue covering Missouri wide receiver Luther Burden III, and they are going to need the defense to be a lot better here. Against Florida State in the first game, the defense gave up only 13 points, and the defense is going to need to be a whole lot better here.
Michigan State Has Been Tested
Michigan State has been tested to start the season, but they still sit with a 3-0 record. To start the season Michigan State faced off against Florida Atlantic 16-10 and in the last game against Maryland, they were able to secure the 27-24 victory. In the last game against Prairie View A&M, Michigan State scored 40 points while the defense gave up zero points. Aidan Chiles completed 12 of his 19 passes for 173 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. Running back Nathan Carer had a strong game, finishing with eight carries for 91 yards and a touchdown. The offense was sure impressive, but in the first two games the offense was inconsistent, and they are going to need the offense to be better.
Boston College vs Michigan State Prediction
Boston College’s defense is going to step up in a big way here. Michigan State’s offense is a problem, and they are going to really struggle to get the offense going here. I don’t trust the quarterback to play for Michigan State, and that is going to be the difference here. Michigan State is also going to step up with the defense. The turnovers are going to be an issue again for Boston College’s offense and this game is going to end up staying under the total. Back the under to cash here.
