Clemson vs Louisville Prediction 11-2-24 College Football Picks

The Louisville Cardinals and the Clemson Tigers meet Saturday in college football action from Clemson Memorial Stadium. Here’s a Clemson vs Louisville prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Clemson vs Louisville pick.

Louisville Cardinals Betting Preview

Louisville’s season began with three straight wins. The Cardinals dispatched Austin Peay, Jacksonville State and Georgia Tech before losses to Notre Dame and SMU. Louisville would beat Virginia in game six 24-20 before a 52-45 loss to Miami the next week.

Last Friday in the Boston College game, the Cardinals faced a 13-point deficit going into the second half. Louisville rallied from there to pull off the road win 31-27. Tyler Shough finished with 332 yards, two scores and two picks. Isaac Brown had two TDs of his own from 18 carries for 85 yards.

Clemson Tigers Betting Preview

Over on the Clemson side, they lost 34-3 to Georgia in their opener. The Tigers would rebound quickly however, rattling off wins over Appalachian State, NC State, Stanford, Florida State, Wake Forest and Virginia in the next six outings.

In the Virginia game back on October 19, the Tigers scored 14 points in the second quarter and 21 more in the third on the way to a 48-31 win. Quarterback Cade Klubnik logged 308 yards, three scores and a pick in the victory, while Phil Mafah led the rush with 78 yards and two TDs.

Clemson vs Louisiana Prediction

I’ll stay with the Tigers. In their last outing, Clemson played a pretty sloppy game against Virginia (10 penalties) and gave up 21 points in the fourth quarter but overall it was a nice victory. The Tigers finished with 539 yards (345 passing) on offense, 7.2 yards per play and 28 first downs. Clemson held the Cavs to just 5-of-13 on third-down tries on the other side.

As for Louisville, on Friday they rallied in the second half to pull off a nice road win against Boston College. The Cardinals finished with three turnovers and went a tepid 4-of-11 on third downs. The defense was solid overall on 318 yards allowed (164 passing) and 14 first downs, though. I like Louisville to hang around for most of this one (if they can minimize the mistakes), with Clemson eventually pulling away for the cover.
