Colorado vs Delaware Prediction Football Picks Today 9/6/25

Colorado and Delaware meet Saturday in college football action from Folsom Field. Here’s a Colorado vs Delaware prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Colorado Buffaloes vs Delaware Fightin Blue Hens pick.

Strong Start for Delaware

It was a strong start to the season for Delaware in their first game of the season against Delaware State. Delaware scored 35 points, and that was enough for the 17-point victory. They scored 14 points in the 2nd and 4th quarter, and that paced them. Nick Minicucci was under center, and he completed 28 of his 36 passes for 251 yards and three touchdowns. He was also the top rusher and he finished with nine carries for 44 yards and a touchdown. What he did was impressive, but they need to find a way to get a more balanced running attack.

The defense also needs to be a whole lot better, especially against the run. They gave up 200 rushing yards on the ground and they need to find a way to slow that down here. If they struggle to slow down the run, this is going to be a very long game.

Why Delaware Will Beat Colorado

Trouble in Colorado?

Colorado had a tough first game of the season, and the big question now, is they are taking a step back this season. The Buffaloes faced off against Georgia Tech, and they scored 20 points, but the defense gave up 27, and that led to the defeat. Kaidon Salter got the start and he completed 17 of his 28 passes for 159 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. Behind him is star recruit Julian Lewis, and Deion Sanders has already said that he’s going to play some in this game. If Salter doesn’t have a strong game here, we could be talking about a quarterback change coming at some point. The defense was also an issue, and they allowed Haynes King to rush for 159 yards and a touchdown. The defense has to be better against the run.

Colorado vs Delaware Prediction

To be honest, this isn’t my favorite game on the board, just because I am not so sure how much I want to put money on Delaware. That being said, Colorado has some issues at quarterback, at least in terms of who they should be playing, Sanders also had some questionable coaching decisions in the first game, and I still don’t love him as a head coach. Is Delaware going to win this game? Probably not, but they are going to find some success with their offense, and that will be enough for them to keep it close. Back Delaware against the spread.
