The Duke Blue Devils meet the North Carolina A&T Aggies in Week 2 NCAA football action from Wallace Wade Stadium tonight. Kickoff is at 8:00pm EDT.

The North Carolina A&T Aggies will look for a big upset after starting the year with a 29-18 loss to Furman in their season opener. Jalen Fowler threw for 268 yards and 2 touchdowns on 14 of 29 passing while also rushing for 29 yards as well. Jah-Maine Martin had 12 carries for 33 rushing yards while Ron Hunt led the Aggies in receiving with 5 catches for 146 yards and both of NC A&T’s touchdowns. Korey Banks had 66 receiving yards coming on 5 grabs while Sterling Berkhalter had a pair of catches for 48 yards. Tyquan King added an interception for the Aggie defense in the losing effort.

The Duke Blue Devils will try to rebound from a 31-28 loss at the hands of the Charlotte 49ers in their last game. Gunnar Holmberg threw for 228 yards and a touchdown on 20 of 29 passing while Mataeo Durant had 255 rushing yards and 3 scores on 29 carries. Jordan Waters had 65 rushing yards on 5 carries while Jordan Moore added a 38-yard rush. Jake Bobo led Duke’s receiving group with 7 catches for 88 yards while the aforementioned Waters had a pair of catches for 40 yards and the Blue Devils’ lone touchdown reception. Defensively, Lummie Young IV led the Blue Devils with 10 total tackles while Jalen Alexander had 9 total tackles with a team-high 7 solo tackles. R.J. Oben had a sack and 2.5 TFLs as well in the loss for Duke.

Duke is 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 week 2 matchups while the over is 7-3 in their last 10 games overall.

This is a tough game to call as Duke didn’t look good against Charlotte and this really isn’t a team I’d want to lay three scores plus a hook with. However, the Aggies just don’t have the pieces to keep up with Duke here and this game gives David Cutcliffe a game to really set things straight with the offense. It won’t be a cakewalk, but the Blue Devils cover here.
