Defensively, Terrel Bernard has 16 total tackles and a sack to lead a Baylor defense that’s combined for 3 sacks and 3 interceptions so far this season.
The Kansas Jayhawks will try to rebound from a 49-22 loss to Coastal Carolina last time out. Jason Bean has thrown for a team-high 352 yards and 2 touchdowns on 59.2% passing while also rushing for a team-high 156 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Kwamie Lassiter leads Kansas’ receiving group with 9 catches for 97 yards as well this season. On defense, Kenny Logan Jr. leads the Jayhawks with 15 total tackles while Byron Johnson has 14 total tackles including a team-high 11 solo tackles and 1.5 sacks this season.

I’m not eager to back Bayor yet as I really need to see a step forward under Dave Aranda’s bunch. However, it has to start somewhere and there’s no better spot in my book for Baylor to do a bit of a reality check test than to play a dumpster fire of a Kansas team here. I think Baylor has the potential to make this one ugly, so I’ll lay it and play it with the Bears here.
