Memphis vs Army Prediction Football Picks Today 10/31/26

The Army Black Knights and the Memphis Tigers meet Saturday in college football action from Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium in Memphis. Here’s a Memphis vs Army prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Memphis vs Army pick.

Army Black Knights Betting Preview

Army opened up the year on a 2-2 run, taking losses to South Florida and Louisiana Tech in that time mixed with wins over Bryant and Temple. The Knights have won three games since then over Tulane, Florida Atlantic and Tulsa in succession. Through seven games so far that gives Army a 5-2 overall record.

In the Tulsa matchup last Friday, the Knights were pretty busy in the first half, going into the locker room with a 20-14 edge. Army scored a couple more TDs from there and eventually won the game on a 50-yard field goal 38-35. QB Cale Hellums rushed 30 times for 121 yards and three scores while Godspower Nwawuihe carried 12 times for 135 yards and a score.

Memphis Tigers Betting Preview

Over on the Memphis side, they kicked things off with a couple of wins over UNLV and Arkansas State before a loss to Boise State. The Tigers have since gone 4-1 with wins over TN-Martin, Charlotte, UAB and East Carolina mixed with a loss to Tulane. In eight games that gives Memphis a 6-2 record on the books.

Matched up against East Carolina last Thursday the Tigers were in trouble at the break trailing 16-3. Memphis rallied themselves after halftime though, going on a scoring flurry to achieve an overtime win 41-34 as the game concluded. QB Marcus Stokes had a 29-of-43 line for 320 yards and three scores while also rushing seven times for 31 yards and two more TDs.

Memphis vs Army Prediction

I’ll lean toward Memphis but you could make a case either way. The Tigers weren’t great on third downs (4-of-15) and committed nine penalties for 76 yards in their comeback win over East Carolina but they got the job done. Memphis collected 24 first downs and 484 yards of offense along the way. It was a nice bounce-back after posting a tepid 17 points in a loss to Tulane.

As for Army, they powered past Tulsa despite just 16 first downs and 5-of-14 on third-down tries. The run game (275 yards) was in full effect like usual, and we’ll get another heavy dose of the rush here. I like Memphis to eke out a cover but it’s a coin flip to me.
