The Buffalo Bulls and the Miami-OH RedHawks meet Wednesday in college football action from Yager Stadium. Buffalo dropped to 3-7 overall following their last appearance in a loss to Ohio. As for Miami-OH, they’re 8-2 on the season. The RedHawks shut out Akron back on Wednesday for their latest victory. Check back all season long for free college football picks at Sports Chat Place.

Buffalo Bulls

The Bulls haven’t exactly lit up the scoreboard so far this year. They’re averaging a tepid 22.8 points per game with 29 total touchdowns in 10 games. Buffalo has gotten 14 of those scores and 190.2 yards per game via the pass (with 11 interceptions). Rush-wise the Bulls have had their difficulties as well with 3.6 yards per attempt and 13 touchdowns on the ground.

In their latest loss to Ohio last Tuesday, the Bulls were down 10-3 going into the final quarter in an eventual loss 20-10. Cole Snyder threw for 171 yards on 14-of-21 passing, and Ron Cook led the rush with 48 yards on 16 carries. Boobie Curry added four catches for 66 yards to pace the receivers.

Miami-OH RedHawks

Over on the Miami-OH side, they’ve maintained a much more consistent scoring run this season with a 29.8 points per game average and 31 TDs overall. The RedHawks are getting a nice 8.6-yard average per pass and 199.7 pass yards per game, posting 15 touchdowns and five interceptions through the air so far.

Miami-OH was able to put up points in every quarter during their latest win over Akron last Wednesday. The RedHawks rolled to an eventual 19-0 win despite QB Aveon Smith throwing for just 50 yards. Rashad Amos did most of the heavy lifting on offense with his 118 yards and two scores from 15 carries.

ANDREW’S FREE PICK

I’m going to stay with Miami-OH. The RedHawks aren’t exactly coming off a dominant offensive performance against a struggling Akron team in their last game however, so there are plenty of areas to clean up. Miami-OH posted just 236 total yards (50 passing) in that one, but the defense was able to shine on 212 yards allowed (176 passing) and 2-of-14 on third downs allowed. The RedHawks haven’t given up more than 21 points in any of the last seven games. Considering Buffalo has been at 14 or fewer points in three of their last four games (a 1-3 run), I don’t think the Bulls will be able to muster enough offense to keep the cover pace.
