Michigan State vs Boston College Prediction Football Picks Today 9/6/25

In this article we will formulate a Michigan State vs Boston College prediction for this College Football game on Saturday, September 6th at Spartan Stadium in East Lansing, Michigan. Let’s take a look at the prediction for this week 2 matchup.

Michigan State Spartans Betting Preview

The Michigan State Spartans are 1-0 this year after they defeated Western Michigan by a score of 23-6 last week. Michigan State led 7-0 after the first quarter and 21-0 at the half, so it looked like they were cruising. The Spartans got a safety in the third to go up 23-0, but they failed to score any offensive points in the second half and threw a pick six with about three minutes left. Michigan State out gained WMU by a total of 336-217, went 4-13 on third down conversions, and lost the turnover battle by a total of 2-1 in the win. Aidan Chiles went 17-23 for 155 yards, one touchdown, and one lost fumble, while Alessio Milivojevic went 0-1 with one interception in the game. Makhi Frazier rushed 14 times for 103 yards and one touchdown, while Omari Kelly caught seven passes for 75 yards in the game. The MSU defense was led by Jordan Hall, who had eight tackles in the win, while the team recorded four sacks and 12 tackles for loss.

Michigan State played a dominant first half in their opening game, but they looked like a completely different team in the second half and had issues with turnovers. We know Chiles has issues holding onto the football, but he still overthrew quite a few receivers, which was a big problem last season.

Boston College Eagles Betting Preview

The Boston College Eagles are 1-0 this season after they defeated Fordham by a score of 66-10 in week one. Boston College led 14-3 at the end of the first quarter and they extended that to 21-3 at the half. The Eagles didn’t slow down, as they scored 45 points in the second half for the blowout victory. Boston College out gained Fordham by a total of 556-168, went 12-18 on third down, and won the turnover battle by a total 1-0. Dylan Lonergan went 26-34 for 268 yards and four touchdowns, while Grayson James went 5-5 for 190 yards and one score in the win. Turbo Richard rushed 16 times for 48 yards and one touchdown, while Lewis Bond caught 11 passes for 138 yards in the game. The BC defense was led by Daveon Crouch, who had six tackles, while the team recorded three sacks and eight tackles for loss.

Boston College absolutely dominated Fordham in their first game of the season and they poured it on in the second half. The Eagles have plenty of question marks coming into this season, but it was a good start against a weak opponent.

Michigan State vs Boston College Prediction

Both of these teams were able to pick up relatively easy wins to start their season in week one, but this is a huge game for each side in terms of finding six wins. The Spartans need to play a full 60 minutes and they need to protect the ball, which is something Chiles continues to struggle with. Boston College needs to be tough on the line of scrimmage, as MSU did have success on the ground. I think either team could win this game and with so many unknowns, I will take the points with BC on the road.
