The Eastern Michigan Eagles and the Michigan State Spartans meet Saturday in college football action from Spartan Stadium in East Lansing. Here’s a Michigan State vs Eastern Michigan prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Michigan State vs Eastern Michigan pick.
Eastern Michigan Eagles Betting Preview
The Eagles have two games in the bag so far. First was a matchup versus Sacramento State on August 29. In that one Eastern Michigan scored 21 points in the second quarter along the way to a 28-17 win. QB Noah Kim put up a 27-of-38 line for 279 yards and two scores while Amareaon Blue rushed 12 times for 55 yards. Benson Prosper led the receivers on 81 yards from seven grabs.
In game two versus San Jose State last weekend, the Eagles had a 21-17 edge going into the fourth quarter. Eastern Michigan gave up 10 unanswered points from there however, leading to a 27-21 loss. Kim was 24-of-43 this time with 174 yards, one TD and one pick. Blue had 81 yards and a score on 11 carries and Harold Mack added seven grabs for 72 yards and a TD.
Michigan State Spartans Betting Preview
Over on the Michigan State side, they limped to a pretty rough 4-8 record overall last season in a forgettable campaign. the Spartans were just 1-8 in a tough Big Ten, which put the team just one spot out of the basement (over Purdue) in the conference standings. Michigan State had an eight-game losing streak going before finishing off the year with a win over Maryland.
In their first action of the 2026 season the Spartans played Toledo. Michigan State scored double-digit points in two quarters in a 30-20 win. QB Alessio Milivojevic had a 26-of-34 line for 247 yards and a score. Camryn Edwards added 27 carries for 98 yards and a TD while Rodney Bullard had seven catches for 90 yards and a touchdown.

Michigan State vs Eastern Michigan Prediction
I’m going to try Eastern Michigan. The Eagles imploded in the fourth quarter of their second game versus San Jose State—otherwise they’d be 2-0 right now. In that one Eastern Michigan ended up with 281 total yards (174 passing) along with just 13 first downs and a 3-of-16 result on third-down tries. The defense gave up 453 yards on the other side with 19 first downs and two takeaways. San Jose State’s 13 penalties didn’t hurt either.
As for Michigan State, they gave up 6.7 yards per play to Toledo but also held the Rockets to just 10 first downs and 1-of-8 on third downs. The Spartans had 397 yards (247 passing) and 26 first downs themselves, with zero turnovers. Michigan State should be in control for this one as well but I think EMU can get in there.
