Missouri vs Kentucky 11/5/22 College Football Picks, Predictions, Odds

The Missouri Tigers and Kentucky Wildcats do battle Saturday in a week 10 SEC college football matchup from Faurot Field.

The Kentucky Wildcats will look to rebound from losses in 3 of their last 4 games after dropping to 5-3 on the year with a 44-6 loss to Tennessee last time out. Will Levis has thrown for 1,733 yards, 13 touchdowns and 8 interceptions on 68.1% passing while Chris Rodriguez Jr. has a team-high 459 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns and Kavosley Smoke has 275 rushing yards as well this season. Tayvion Robinson has a team-high 29 catches for 403 receiving yards and 3 scores while Barion Brown and Dane Key each have 300+ receiving yards, combining for 692 yards receiving with 5 touchdowns. On defense, DeAndre Square also has a team-high 55 total tackles while Kentucky’s defense has combined for 11 sacks and 6 interceptions this season

The Missouri Tigers will try to get back above .500, improving to 4-4 on the year with back-to-back wins following a 23-10 win over South Carolina last time out. Brady Cook has thrown for 1,652 yards, 6 touchdowns and 7 interceptions on 65.3% passing while Cody Schrader and Nathaniel Peat have combined for 831 rushing yards with Schrader logging 5 scores. Dominic Lovett leads Missouri with 45 catches for 659 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns. On defense, Ty’Ron Hopper has a team-high 47 total tackles including 40 solo tackles and a pair of sacks and Missouri’s defense has 17 sacks and 7 interceptions as a whole this season

Kentucky is 7-3-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a loss while the under is 28-11 in their last 39 conference games. Missouri is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games while the under is 7-0 in their last 7 conference games.

I get the case to be made either way here, but I’m looking at the under in this one. I’m not knocking Kentucky for getting pummelled by Tennessee, it’s happened to a lot of teams already this season. However, the Wildcats still have some pretty decent-sized offensive issues right now, scoring 19 or less in three of their last four games and a trip to Missouri won’t help, but the Tigers aren’t world-beaters offensively in their own right either. This has 24-17 written all over it in my opinion, so give me the under here.
