Nevada vs San Jose State Prediction Football Picks Today 11/15/25

The San Jose State Spartans and the Nevada Wolf Pack meet Saturday in college football action from Mackay Stadium. Here’s a Nevada vs San Jose State prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Nevada vs San Jose State pick.

San Jose State Spartans Betting Preview

San Jose State’s year began with a couple of losses to Central Michigan and Texas ahead of a win over Idaho. The Spartans would lose three of the next four games though, beating New Mexico with losses otherwise versus Stanford, Wyoming and Utah State. Next came a 45-38 win over Hawaii on November 1. In that one the Spartans were outscored 24-14 in the second half but still held on. The offense managed 630 yards total with 458 pass yards, 26 first downs and 5-of-10 on third-down conversions during the victory effort over the Warriors.

In their latest matchup last weekend versus Air Force, the Spartans were only able to notch a couple of field goals in the first three quarters, entering the final frame with a 16-6 deficit. When the dust settled San Jose State had a 10-point home loss 26-16. Walker Eget posted a 27-of-42 line for 334 yards and two picks in the defeat, and lead rusher Steve Chavez-Soto had nine carries for 49 yards and a TD as the lead rusher. Tops in receiving during the defeat was Leland Smith, who had a nice game for San Jose State on nine catches and 144 total yards.

Nevada Wolf Pack Betting Preview

Over on the Nevada side, they opened with a loss to Penn State and a win over Sacramento State. A long losing skid began for the Wolf Pack after that however, as they fell versus Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Fresno State, San Diego State, New Mexico and Boise State in the next six outings. In the loss to the Broncos, the Wolf Pack were outscored 24-0 across the final three quarters. Nevada gathered just 247 total yards with 15 first downs, 4-of-12 on third-down tries and had five turnovers. The eight team penalties didn’t help matters, either.

In last weekend’s game versus Utah State, the Wolf Pack got demolished from the very beginning. Nevada was down 24-0 after the first quarter and 41-0 after the first half in an eventual 51-14 blowout defeat. Chubba Purdy was responsible for both passing touchdowns on 3-of-7 for 80 yards, and also led the rush with 10 carries for 45 yards. Leading the receivers in the losing effort for the Wolf Pack was Jett Carpenter with four catches for 58 yards and a touchdown. Caleb Ramseur added three catches for 57 yards and a TD as well.

Nevada vs San Jose State Prediction

I’ll lean toward San Jose State but I’m not touching this one. Both teams are coming off rather ugly losses and there’s not a lot to get excited about here. In any case, the Spartans had three turnovers and a tepid 5-of-11 on third downs in their loss to Air Force last weekend, but did post 7.3 yards per play and 341 passing yards. The defense gave up 302 total yards on the other side, most of it (261 yards) coming on the ground. The 16 points that San Jose State mustered were the team’s lowest total since a 38-7 blowout road loss to Texas back on September 6.

As for Nevada, they got clobbered by Utah State on Saturday to the tune of 522 yards, 7.0 yards per play and 23 first downs allowed. The Wolf Pack posted just 242 yards, 11 first downs and 3-of-13 on third downs on the other side, along with three turnovers. Nevada has been below 18 points in six of the last seven games now.
