The Bison have been on a pretty good run this year so far; they’ve only got one blemish on the schedule. North Dakota State opened with wins over Jacksonville State, Fordham, Air Force, Sacramento State and Wyoming. The lone loss this year came on October 10 versus UNLV, but the Bison recovered with a win over Nevada last weekend for a 6-1 overall record.
In the Nevada game, the Bison fell behind 11-0 in the second quarter but then rattled off three straight touchdowns for a 19-11 halftime lead. North Dakota State added a few more scores from there for a 31-17 victory in the end. QB Nathan Hayes was 19-of-25 for 153 yards and two touchdowns . Jackson Williams caught five balls for 58 yards in the victory.

New Mexico vs North Dakota State Prediction
I’ll stick with New Mexico but you could call this one either way. The Lobos played an ugly game versus Hawaii, bagging three turnovers and 16 penalties for 145 yards. New Mexico mustered just 94 yards passing, 5-of-13 on third downs and 16 first downs but the defense kept the team from imploding with 3-of-13 on third downs and two takeaways. New Mexico has 21 or more points in all five of their wins this year and 38 or more in four of them.
As for North Dakota State, they held Nevada to just 15 first downs and 286 total yards with two takeaways in their latest win. The Bison defense has been great this year, giving up 17 points or fewer in six of seven games. This matchup could go a lot of different ways and it’ll be a fun one to watch.
