Northern Illinois outgained WIU by a total of 706-298 and went 7-8 on third down in the game. Ethan Hampton threw for 328 yards and five touchdowns, while Trayvon Rudolph caught four passes for 104 yards and one score. 

Northern Illinois used a huge second quarter to pull away from Western Illinois in their first game and they were able to rack up over 700 yards in the victory. The Huskies played very well on the defensive side of the ball as well, but they did miss two extra points in the game. Northern Illinois will face Buffalo after this game.

Notre Dame vs Northern Illinois Prediction 

Notre Dame comes into this contest after picking up a massive win at Texas A&M and they are a huge favorite to get the win here. The Fighting Irish should have no issues running the ball in this matchup, but I am curious to see how the NIU offense is able to move the ball.

Ultimately, I think Notre Dame will win this game easily, but I am going to take Northern Illinois with the points. Notre Dame is coming off of a very physical win and they have Purdue next week, so I don’t see them running up the score in this game. Take the points with NIU.
