Oregon State vs Hawaii 9/11/21 College Football Picks, Odds, Predictions

The Oregon State Beavers meet the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors Saturday in week 2 college football action at Reser Stadium. The Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors look for another win to get a game above a .500 record. The Oregon State Beavers look for a win after losing their season opener to Purdue.

Defensively, Hawai’i is allowing 39.5 points and 434.5 yards per game. Darius Muasau leads the Hawai’i Rainbow Warriors with 12 tackles, Jonah Laulu has two sacks and Pita Tonga has one interception.

The Oregon State Beavers hope to avoid their third straight 0-2 start to a CFB season. Chance Nolan is completing 62.5 percent of his passes for 157 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions. Trevon Bradford and Zeriah Beason have combined for 128 receiving yards on seven catches while Champ Flemings has two receptions. Omar Speights leads the Oregon State Beavers with 12 tackles, Andrzej Hughes-Murray has 0.5 sacks and Jaydon Grant has one interception.

The Rainbow Warriors are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Beavers are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 home games and 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games overall. The under is 5-1 in Rainbow Warriors last 6 games overall. The over is 5-1 in Beavers last 6 home games. The underdog is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings.

This will be just the fourth time since 2017 the Oregon State Beavers have been a double-digit favorite. However, Oregon State’s opening week competitive game against Purdue does open some eyes up and suggest this could be a competitive year for the Beavers. Hawaii has fallen over the last couple years, and has failed to cover eight of its last 11 games as a double-digit underdog. Hawaii also hasn’t played a lick of defense through two games. It feels weird laying big numbers with Oregon State, but I’m going to back the Beavers in this spot.
