Oregon State vs Idaho 9/18/21 College Football Picks, Odds, Predictions

The Oregon State Beavers meet the Idaho Vandals in week 3 college football action from Reser Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Idaho Vandals will look to rebound from a 56-14 loss to Indiana in their last matchup. Mike Beaudry has thrown for 312 yards and a pair of touchdowns on 64.7% passing while CJ Jordan has tossed for 161 yards and a pair of scores as well with a 46.7% completion percentage. Roshaun Johnson has a team-high 91 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns for the Vandals while Hayden Hatten leads Idaho in receiving with 12 catches for 200 yards and 3 TDs. Tre Walker leads Idaho with 16 total tackles including a team-high 11 solo tackles as well this season for the Vandals.

The Oregon State Beavers will be out to build on a 45-27 win over Hawaii last time out. Chance Nolan’s thrown for 459 yards and 2 touchdowns on 68.9% passing while B.J. Baylor leads Oregon State in rushing with 195 rushing yards and 5 touchdowns already this season. Trevon Bradford leads Oregon State with 11 catches for 154 yards while Anthony Gould has 8 grabs for 127 yards and a score. Defensively, Avery Roberts leads Oregon State with 22 total tackles including 12 solo tackles while Omar Speights has 17 total tackles this season.

Idaho is 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall and 5-12 ATS in their last 17 September games while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 week 3 matchups. Oregon State is 14-6 ATS in their last 20 games overall and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games played in September while the over is 5-2 in their last 7 week 3 matchups.

This isn’t the kind of number I want to lay with Oregon State as I’m really not sold on the Beavers this season. However, we have to remember that Idaho was an FBS team only a couple of years ago, and there’s a reason they moved down to FCS. This Vandals team just doesn’t have the horses to hang with the bigger programs like Oregon State and I think we really find out why as the Beavers win this game by something in the area of 38-10.
