I’m staying with Louisiana. The Cajuns played a wild game versus Wake Forest over the weekend and to their credit powered out a gutsy win. Louisiana got 466 total yards from the offense (257 passing) with zero turnovers and 24 first downs but did have eight penalties for 83 yards. It was a nice bounce-back effort after the Tulane loss.
As for Southern Miss, they looked pretty rough in their last outing. The Eagles notched 246 yards (132 passing), 16 first downs, six turnovers, and 1-of-10 on third-down tries in the loss to Jacksonville State. I don’t think Southern Miss will rebound well enough to cover in this one.
