Temple vs Tulsa Prediction 10-19-24 College Football Picks

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane and the Temple Owls meet Saturday in college football action from Lincoln Financial Field. Here’s a Temple vs Tulsa prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Temple vs Tulsa pick.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane Betting Preview

Tulsa kicked off the year with a 62-28 blowout win over Northwestern State, then lost 28-24 to Arkansas State and 45-10 versus Oklahoma State in the next pair. The Hurricane beat Louisiana Tech 23-20 in overtime then lost to North Texas 52-20 in a blowout.

Tulsa’s latest outing was another loss, this time to Army. The Hurricane gave up 35 points across the second and third quarters for a 49-7 blowout defeat. QB Kirk Francis threw for just 84 yards, and Cooper Legas rushed 17 times for 81 yards and a score to lead the rush.

Temple Owls Betting Preview

Over on the Temple side, they got off to an 0-3 start this year, stumbling out of the gate. The Owls were beaten by Oklahoma 51-3, Navy 38-11 and Coastal Carolina 28-20 before a 45-29 win over Utah State. Game five was another loss, this time 42-14 to Army.

In the UConn matchup back on October 5, the Owls were down 16-13 going into the fourth quarter and ended up losing 29-20. Forrest Brock posted 136 yards with an interception. Terre Worthy carried 12 times for 95 yards, and Dante Wright caught eight balls for 67 yards.

Temple vs Tulsa Prediction

I’ll lean toward Tulsa I suppose. The Hurricane had some trouble against a good Army team in their last outing, giving up 481 total yards (321 rushing) and 10.5 yards per play. Tulsa posted just 268 yards (109 passing) and 3.7 yards per play on the other side. That makes 24 or fewer points in five straight games.

As for Temple, they had eight penalties, three turnovers, 270 yards (136 passing) and 16 first downs in a pretty limp effort versus UConn in their last game. The Owls defense was pretty good though, and kept the team in the game. I like Tulsa slightly better cover/win-wise in this matchup, but you could make a case either way.
