UAB vs Charlotte Prediction Football Picks Today 11/7/26

UAB vs Charlotte Prediction

I’ll stick with UAB. The Blazers will have to rebound from a pretty ugly road loss to South Florida though. UAB gave up two fumble return TDs in that one while gaining just 10 first downs and 177 total yards on offense alongside a 4-of-16 success rate on third downs. They were shut out from the scoreboard after the first quarter too. The Blazers have 13 or fewer points in two of the last three games so they’ve got to get their offense going early in this matchup if they want to stand a chance at controlling it.

As for Charlotte, they played pretty well on offense in the OT loss to Tulane. The 49ers gathered 26 first downs, 455 total yards and 216 rush yards in the defeat. The defense gave up 23 first downs, 467 total yards and 8-of-13 on third-down tries but did have a couple of takeaways. Charlotte has a combined 69 points in their last two outings (a 1-1 stretch) which follows a period of scoring 10 or fewer points in four of five games. The 49ers will need to step on the offensive gas from the opening whistle here.

Charlotte 49ers Betting Preview

Needless to say, Charlotte hasn’t had a whole lot of luck in the win column this year so far. The 49ers opened the season with six straight losses, falling to the Citadel, Ole Miss, Appalachian State, Louisiana, Memphis and North Texas in succession. Charlotte finally got a win 38-31 over Temple on October 17, but then followed that up with an overtime loss to Tulane last week. Over the first eight games of the year that gives the 49ers a 1-7 record in the books.

In the Tulane game last Friday, the 49ers came out of the gate with a big second quarter, scoring a couple of touchdowns on the way to a 24-14 halftime edge. Charlotte let Tulane get back into the game from there though, and eventually lost it in overtime 38-31. QB Conner Harrell was 23-of-36 for 239 yards and two touchdowns while Henry Rutledge carried 22 times for 121 yards. Leading the receivers was Rutledge as well; he put up four catches for 79 yards in the victory.

UAB Blazers Betting Preview

Over on the UAB side, they’ve been on a bit of an inconsistent run this year. The Blazers lost two of their first three games to Illinois and Louisiana (with a win over LA-Monroe) then beat Navy and Samford in the next pair. After a loss to Memphis, the Blazers took out East Carolina in overtime. Across the first seven games they were sitting at 4-3 overall on the year.

Matched up against South Florida on Halloween, the Blazers were able to build up a 10-0 lead after the first quarter but then let the Bulls back in it thanks to a late fumble return TD. UAB was held scoreless from there (and gave up another fumble return TD) on the way to a 30-10 loss. QB Ryder Burton was 13-of-27 for 149 yards and Bam McReynolds led the rush with eight carries for 22 yards. CJ Smith added two catches for 53 yards as well.
