TCU took on North Carolina in their first matchup of the 2026 campaign. The Frogs were down 12-10 by the end of the first half and couldn’t score after the first quarter during an eventual 15-10 loss. In game two the Horned Frogs took on Grambling State. TCU fared much better in that one, bagging 21 points in both the second and fourth quarters during a 63-7 win.
In game three versus Arkansas State, the Frogs took a 21-7 lead into the fourth quarter. TCU added another 10 points along the way to a 31-7 victory on their home turf. QB Jaden Craig was 21-of-29 for 337 yards, three scores and an interception. Jeremy Payne led the rush with 24 carries, 86 yards and a touchdown, while Ed Small had seven catches for 164 yards and a TD.
UCF Knights Betting Preview
Over on the Knights’ side, they played an easy opener versus Bethune-Cookman this year. UCF posted 21 points in the first quarter and 28 more in the third quarter during a blowout home victory 73-6. In their second game of the season, the Knights took on Pittsburgh in a road game. UCF was down 12-0 by the end of the third quarter and could only add a TD in a 12-7 loss.
Matched up against Georgia State the Knights saw their 17-7 first-quarter lead evaporate quickly after a 17-3 deficit in the next period. UCF recovered on a 24-6 second-half run though, eventually winning 44-30 at home. Keyone Jenkins had 86 yards with one score and a pick but Duke Watson did most of the work on 14 carries, 177 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the win.

TCU vs Central Florida Prediction
I’m going with TCU. The Frogs handled Arkansas State pretty well last weekend, bagging 468 yards (337 passing), 6.9 yards per play, 21 first downs and 7-of-14 on third downs. TCU’s defense gave up 261 yards on the other side with 11 first downs and 5-of-14 on third downs. That makes a combined 94 points in the last two games for the Frogs, which is nice to see after the tough loss to North Carolina in the opener.
As for UCF, they bagged a whopping 304 rush yards with 6.8 yards per play in their win over a plucky Georgia State squad. The Knights went just 3-of-12 on third downs however, and the defense gave up 485 yards (203 rushing) with 25 first downs. Central Florida did snatch three picks however, which helped keep the Panthers at bay. TCU is going to be a trickier opponent.
