UL Monroe vs Louisiana Tech Prediction Football Picks Today 10/17/26

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs and the Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks meet Saturday in college football action from Malone Stadium in Monroe. Here’s an LA-Monroe vs LA Tech prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best LA-Monroe vs LA Tech pick.

LA Tech Bulldogs Betting Preview

The Bulldogs have had some pretty mixed results so far this season. Louisiana Tech kicked off the year with a blowout victory 80-6 versus an overmatched Northwestern State squad. The next two games were both losses though, as the Bulldogs fell to LSU and Baylor on the road. Louisiana Tech came back with a gritty win over Army for a 2-2 start to the year.

Last weekend versus Louisiana, the Bulldogs didn’t get going until a couple of touchdowns in the second quarter. LA Tech went into the break with a 13-10 lead. After three more scores in the final frame the Bulldogs ended up with a tight 32-31 win in the end. QB Blake Baker was 32-of-42 for 319 yards and three touchdowns. Eli Finely caught nine balls for 114 yards and two of those scores.

LA-Monroe Warhawks Betting Preview

Over on the Warhawks’ side, they haven’t had any luck in the win column so far this year. Louisiana-Monroe got blown out by Mississippi State on the road in their opener, then lost to UAB 26-20 in game two. Game three was another loss, this time a close one versus SE Louisiana. Since then it’s been two more losses to Florida Atlantic and South Alabama.

Matched up against South Alabama back on October 3, the Warhawks managed to find the end zone in the first quarter but also gave up three touchdowns in that frame as well. In the end LA-Monroe couldn’t keep the pace and lost the game 52-35. QB Aidan Armenta was 26-of-41 for 362 yards, two touchdowns and a pick (alongside a rush TD) in the defeat.

LA-Monroe vs LA Tech Prediction

I’ll stick with the Bulldogs. Louisiana Tech caught fire late in the win over the Cajuns last weekend, eventually notching 485 yards, 28 first downs and 7-of-13 on third-down tries. There were a couple of lost fumbles in there and eight team penalties for 81 yards though, so it wasn’t perfect. Still, that makes two tight wins over the last two weeks and a winning record in the books thus far.

As for LA-Monroe, they didn’t play too badly on offense in their loss to South Alabama—outside of a couple turnovers and a rough 3-of-13 on third downs, that is. The Warhawks gave up 570 yards on the other side though, with 6-of-13 on third downs and 20 first downs on the way to 52 Jaguars points. That makes 38 or more points surrendered in four of five games this year (26 in the other).
