International Women’s Cricket: West Indies vs. Pakistan 7/15/21 ODI Cricket Prediction

Pakistan Women’s tour of the West Indies play their penultimate match in the 5-match series on Thursday July 15th, 2021 at 10:00AM EST with Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua and Barbuda being the venue.

Somewhat surprisingly, the Pakistani women find themselves out of the contest as far as winning the series is concerned as they are down 0-3. The Windies women have been nothing short of sensational thus far in the series and will be looking to keep the intensity going come tomorrow.

The ladies from Pakistan had quite a few starts in the batting lineup; Muneeba Ali scored 25 while Nida Dar compiled 24 but Omaima Sohail who batten at 4 was the stand out batswoman scoring 62 runs comprising of seven 4s to help propel the visitors to 182 all out in just under their allotted 50 overs. On the bowling front, Pakistan was unable to post a threat to the Windies batswomen taking only 2 wickets through the efforts of Fatima Sana and Anam Amin with similar performances in the first two encounters of the series. Both bat and ball must work hand in hand for these ladies if they are to walk away from this series with a victory, they have the ability but can they express their true potential?

West Indies women have been playing lights out this entire series and the last match showed just how in sync the team is. Anisa Mohammed along with Chinelle Henry took 3 wickets while Karishma Ramharack and Shakera Selman collected a wicket each to help restrict the Pakistani women. With the superb efforts of the Windies bowlers, the batsmen had a simple agenda and Hayley Matthews completed the assignment with a scintillating 100 not out which comprised of eleven 4s, not to mention taking 2 wickets herself. Britney Cooper played a supportive role making a valuable 45.

West Indies women will have a series sweep in sight, much to the delight of their fans who also are witnessing the West Indies men in a similar position against the Aussies. This series still has a lot to offer Pakistan’s women. It is an opportunity now to play fearless and with nothing further to lose. West Indies women will be hoping to do what they have done in the T20 series which is take the series sweep, they will be one step closer.
