We’ll be getting back to the NFL preseason tonight, so that makes it a good time to take a quick look around the league at some of the noteworthy headlines out there. We’ve got plenty of important fantasy names experiencing changes this week, so let’s take a closer look at today’s news. Here’s the latest.

Randall Cobb, WR, Green Bay Packers: There are some minor injury concerns with Cobb right now; enough for his owners to take notice, anyhow. He missed practice yesterday with his biceps injury, a condition which as been nagging at him for the last week or so. It’s based in the tendon and causing him quite a bit of pain, so don’t expect to see him suit up for Saturday’s game against the Rams.
That said, we’re not too worried about his status when it comes to the regular season. Still, it’s worth keeping an eye on if you’re a Cobb owner. He’s a top-10 name at WR and should be an integral part of your fantasy squad.

Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots: Is this a bad omen? Brady injured his knee yesterday in practice--and yes, it was the same knee he hurt in 2008 which caused him to miss the rest of the season. Fortunately, it wasn't near as bad this time, as he took an accidental shot to the knee from one of his offensive linemen. Brady did come back and throw a few more passes before leaving practice.
As of right now, Brady is good to go. The MRI came back negative and he's considered day-to-day with a knee sprain. We’ll keep an eye on the situation, but we don’t expect him to miss any significant time.

Le’Veon Bell, RB, Pittsburgh Steelers: Okay Bell owners (and Steeler fans): just a few more days before you’ll get to see the Steelers’ young RB sensation in action. He’s reportedly at full strength and will be playing in Monday’s game against the Redskins. Bell sat out the first preseason game due to a knee injury. He’s listed as the co-starter alongside fellow RB Isaac Redman.
It’ll be interesting to see what Bell looks like on Monday, as he’s been a popular sleeper candidate in many fantasy circles thus far. You can probably get him in the early 20s among running backs, so be sure to give him a good look when your draft gets down in that area.

A.J. Green, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: The best WR in the NFL whose name isn’t Calvin Johnson was able to get back on the practice field yesterday, albeit in a limited capacity. Green spent the day doing individual drills, his first work in two and a half weeks. He’s been out due to a knee bruise and the team is being super-cautious with his recovery (and we don’t blame them).
This is good news for anyone fortunate enough to draft Green. He’s progressing nicely and should be fine when the regular season rolls around. We like him just a little bit more than Dez Bryant, who is another popular choice for the No. 2 overall fantasy WR.
