Yesterday felt a bit like the NFL regular season, with 10 games happening around the league. We’re in for more action in the coming hours, as Week 3 of the preseason finishes up with the final pair of games. That said, we’ve got all sorts of fantasy considerations to touch on this morning, so let’s take a glance across the league at some of the noteworthy storylines out there. Here’s the latest.

Who to Watch Today: We’ve got a pair of games coming up in the next several hours: Saints-Texans and Vikings-49ers. We’ll start with the Saints. They’ve got plenty of big-name fantasy stars, and we know what we’re getting with Brees, Graham and Sproles. The players to keep an eye on will be low-enders Mark Ingram and Lance Moore. A significant involvement in the offense could bode well for their futures in fantasy.
For the Texans, we won’t be seeing Arian Foster, but Ben Tate, Andre Johnson and Owen Daniels could have a big impact.
In the later game, the Vikings will only feature a few notable fantasy names--Adrian Peterson, obviously--but if Kyle Rudolph plays well his draft stock could rise in a thin TE market.
For the Niners, Colin Kaepernick is always fun to watch, and he’ll make his mark as a low-end No. 1 fantasy QB. It’ll be interesting to see what kind of chemistry he has with TE Vernon Davis this year. We could get a preview tonight.

Fantasy Football News: Player News and Updates for 8/25/13

Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

Andrew Luck, QB, Indianapolis Colts: Luck looked pretty awesome last night against Cleveland. He posted a 16-for-25 line with 164 yards and two touchdowns, one to Stanley Havili and one to T.Y. Hilton (who is a popular sleeper and favorite target of ours). Luck did throw a pick, but also had 20 rush yards.
Fantasy-wise, Luck is a top-tier name worthy of your consideration. Sure, there are some worries about his interception numbers in a potential sophomore slump, but he’s a No. 1 all the way. Look for him around Nos. 8-10 among quarterbacks; you’re getting a solid value there.

Doug Martin, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: For all those fantasy owners spending a top pick on Martin, last night’s game against the Dolphins didn’t provide much reassurance. He was held out of the game--reportedly as a precaution--due to concerns over the head injury he sustained during last week’s game against New England.
If you’re a Martin owner, try not to fret too much over this. He was thoroughly examined this week and isn’t dealing with any sort of concussion issues. The Bucs are simply being extra-cautious with their workhorse back, as well they should. We’ve seen Martin go anywhere from No. 2 to 4 overall, so he’s a major fantasy investment. That said, he should pay off handsomely during the season.

Steve Johnson, WR, Buffalo Bills: We’ve made no secret of our favoritism of Johnson this year; he’s a potential No. 2 talent going at a No. 4 or 5 price. Sure, he’s had some hamstring issues recently, but posted a solid outing in the Bills’ Week 3 preseason game yesterday. Johnson was one of the only positives for Buffalo, snatching four passes for 28 yards.
If you’ve still got some trepidation here, we don’t blame you. However, considering where he’s being drafted, we’d snatch up Johnson all day long. If he can stay in control of that hamstring (which will likely nag all season) he’ll put up some incredible numbers for his fantasy level.
