Fantasy Football Daily: Injury News 9/14/13

We’ve got just one more day before it’s time to get our fantasy rosters finalized for the bulk of the Week 2 NFL games, which makes this a good time to visit some of the injury storylines around the league. Let’s take a closer look at some of the big-name players who are ailing right now, and see what we can be expecting from them.
Jamaal Charles, RB, Kansas City Chiefs: It’s only been one week and we’re already talking about an injury concern with Charles, which doesn’t bode particularly well with the first-round fantasy pick. He’s been fighting a quad injury this week, after sitting out during part of the Chiefs’ Week 1 win against the Jaguars. Charles was limited on Thursday, but participated fully in Friday’s practice session. He’s listed as probable and should have no limitations as he heads into a home game against the Cowboys. No worries here.

Jordan Cameron, TE, Cleveland Browns: Cameron is a popular fantasy start this week, as he’s coming off a great performance in the Browns’ loss against the Dolphins in the first game. He nabbed nine balls for 108 yards and a score in that one, which has caused plenty of fantasy owners to decide to roll with him against Baltimore. There’s a probable designation by Cameron’s name this week, as he’s still working with the same knee injury that had him listed that way in the opener. There shouldn’t be anything to worry about here, though, so just play him as if that “P” isn’t there.
Roddy White, WR, Atlanta Falcons: There’s good news regarding White this morning, but take it with a grain of salt. Here’s the scoop: he’s listed as questionable for the Falcons’ Week 2 matchup against the Rams, but is expected to play. That said, we’d recommend taking a look at your backups for this game if you have the luxury. White’s ankle has been nagging at him for quite some time, and he reportedly can’t run or cut at full speed with the injury. That means he won’t be as effective as he normally would. Just keep that in mind.
Dwayne Allen, TE, Indianapolis Colts: Allen remains a low-end fantasy start, but his injury is something to be aware of heading into tomorrow’s game against the Dolphins. He missed practice yesterday, and is tagged as questionable with a knee injury. That designation doesn’t sound very positive toward his playing chances, so we’d imagine the Colts will be without him. His absence should increase the workload for fellow TE Coby Fleener, and give Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton a minor bump in looks as well.
Reggie Bush, RB, Detroit Lions: Good news for Bush owners. He’s expected to be without limitations in the Lions’ Week 2 game against Arizona. That said, Bush has been dealing with a myriad of issues coming out of the opener, including injuries to his finger, knee and groin. Still, he’s listed as probable and should be fine. After his hot start, Bush should be cemented into your lineup.
