Week 10 Gutsy GameDay Starts
This was the easiest week to pick some gutsy starts and it was all based on injuries and matchups. I have picked some pretty bad gutsy starts this season, but this week these players all have great matchups and they should produce solid games.
QB: Jake Locker vs Jaguars - Locker has been considered a viable sleeper this week and a great bye week replacement by the majority of the Fantasy Football World. There are many factors working in Locker's favor this week, but the most obvious is the fact the Titans are playing the Jaguars in Nashville. Fantasy quarterbacks have feasted off the Jaguars all season, and Locker, who has produced several 15+ point games this year, should follow suite and have a nice fantasy day.

RB: Mike James vs Dolphins - Any running back that can rush for 158 yards against the Seahawks in Seattle should not be worthy of the title "gutsy start," but since he is still on the waiver wire in many leagues, he can be considered a gutsy start. With Doug martin going in IR, James is now the lead back for the rest of the season. James has been a solid contributor and a strong runner since he has taken over for Martin and he should continue his breakout season this week against a suspect Miami rush defense.
WR: Kendall Wright vs Jaguars - In order for Locker to have a big game, the Titans wide receivers are also going to have to produce big numbers. Wright has been the most consistent WR for Tennessee this year, and he should have another good game this week against the Jaguars. Wright has only caught one touchdown pass this year and that was in week 2, however, Wright leads the Titans in targets and receiving yards so it is only a matter of time before a few touchdowns come his way. Wright has a great matchup this week and he could have his best game of the season.
TE: Timothy Wright vs Dolphins - Wright is another one of the up-and-coming Tampa Bay rookies that is on the verge of having a breakout season. Wright has stepped up to fill the void as the #2 target in Tampa Bay, and he should be owned in all leagues. Since Wright is still on the waiver wire in many leagues, he is also a great name to put on a "Gutsy Starts" list. Wright also has a good matchup against the Dolphins who have allowed a tight end touchdown in three of their four road games this year.
DEF: New York Giants vs Raiders - The Giants defense is the gutsiest call on this list this week, but there are a few good reasons to play the Giants this week. The Giants have turned things around recently and that is mostly do to their new found defensive strength. The Giants have only allowed 7 points and they have forced three turnovers in each of their last two games. Now they have a banged up team from sunny California, the Raiders, coming to play a football game in frigid New York. The Giants have a great chance to earn a three game winning streak, and their defense has a great chance of having three consecutive strong fantasy scores.
