Julian Edelman - Edelman has become a fantasy beast over the last few weeks. Edelman became the forgot man in New England over the middle of the season, but he has remerged as Brady's top target, especially now that Gronkowski is gone. Over the Patriots last four games, Edelman has averaged 9 catches for 103 yards and a touchdown. If he is still on the waiver wire in your league, make sure he is sitting on your roster during championship week and not on your opponents. Edelman's production lately has made him a must start option at wide receiver and now he is a must add since there is no indication that Brady will stop looking at him early and often.
Michael Crabtree - Crabtree is slowly starting to get his groove back and he finally got into the endzone last week. Crabtree has now played in three games, and he looks as if he is getting more and more comfortable on the football field. The 49ers are going to need him to be at full speed when the playoffs start, and that means there is a chance that Crabtree has a breakout performance very soon. The 49ers have a great matchup this week as the Falcons are traveling to San Francisco. Crabtree has gotten warmed up and this week's matchup certainly looks like it could be the game the 49ers decide to make Crabtree the most targeted player on the team. Crabtree is not a lock to have a breakout game, but he has been getting better each week and a matchup against the Falcons makes Crabtree a very enticing player to gamble on.
Cordarrelle Patterson - Patterson had another nice fantasy game last week against the Eagles. The main thing going in Patterson's favor is that the Vikings are still playing hard even though their season has been lost for some time. The Vikings are also keeping true to their promise to get Patterson more touches, and he has responded by making plays on the football field. It is difficult to trust a rookie off the waiver wire this late in the season, but if you need a player with high upside that could give you a championship edge, then Patterson is the player to pick up.
Delanie Walker - Walker has been a very productive fantasy tight end since Fitzpatrick became the quarterback of the Titans. Walker was not a fantasy relevant tight end when he played with the 49ers, but he has become a solid receiver in Tennessee. There was a bit of concern over Walker since he was out for nearly two weeks because of a concussion, but he came back and had a strong game on Sunday against the Cardinals. This week Walker gets another good matchup as the Titans travel to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars. Delanie Walker is not a household fantasy name, but he could be the missing piece for a team trying to win a fantasy championship.
Dennis Pitta - Pitta has now played two games this season, and fantasy owners competing for a title will be nervous to trust him this week since he had a very weak game on Monday night against Detroit. Pitta had only 2 catches for 24 yards in week 15 after he had a very strong game the week before where he caught 6 passes for 48 yards and a touchdown. Fantasy owners are expecting more from Pitta, and there is a chance he will deliver this week when the Ravens take on the Patriots in Baltimore. Pitta is a risky start for week 16, but he has enough upside to make him worth a gamble if you need help at the tight end position.
