There are just four games on the NBA schedule tonight, but that doesn’t mean the fantasy action has to stop. As a matter of fact, now’s a good time to tweak your roster, as the lessened activity will increase that waiver wire traffic sooner rather than later. With that in mind, let’s take our daily look at some of the up-and-coming fantasy names out there you should be checking out.

Drew Gooden, PF/C, Washington Wizards: Probably the hottest fantasy name over the past day or so is Gooden. He’s coming off an 18-point, six-rebound, two-assist, two-steal effort against Sacramento, which is his second straight game of double-digit points.
That follows a 21-point, nine-rebound effort against Brooklyn, so it’s safe to say Gooden is feeling it right now. He’s worth picking up while he’s hot, but who knows how long the train will keep rolling. After tonight in Portland, he’ll see the woeful Lakers.

Jarrett Jack, PG/SG, Cleveland Cavaliers: Jack made fantasy waves yet again on Tuesday when he posted a nice line against the Heat. He put up 22 points, four rebounds, four assists and a block in the loss, which was his fifth double-digit scoring effort in the last six games.
Now that Kyrie Irving is gone for pretty much the rest of the season, Jack is picking up the proverbial slack. You’ll be singing his praises on nights when his shots are falling and cursing his name on nights when they aren’t. It’s as simple as that. OKC comes to town tonight.

Anderson Varejao, PF/C, Cleveland Cavaliers: Before we leave Cleveland, let’s stick around for a moment and check out Varejao, who has his name in the fantasy conversation once again. He had a nice game against LeBron and the James Gang, posting 16 points and 11 rebounds alongside one assist, one, block and three steals.
Following his effort against the Clippers, Varejao has 23 rebounds in his last two games. He’s a decent lower-end big man, just cross your fingers that he’s hitting his shots. The rest will take care of itself tonight against the Thunder.

Mo Williams, PG/SG, Portland Trail Blazers: Let’s return to the Pacific Northwest and revisit that Wizards-Blazers matchup tonight. Williams is a candidate for a tire-kicking session in fantasy, as he’s got two straight double-digit scoring games to his credit. His most recent outing produced 23 points, two rebounds and three assists.
After Williams and the Blazers play Washington tonight, they’ll hit the road for a busy road trip. He should provide some nice value there, but you’ll want to pay attention to the matchups each night.

Ramon Sessions, PG/SG, Milwaukee Bucks: We’ll close things out up in Milwaukee tonight by looking at Sessions. He’s been a spark plug off the bench recently, providing double-digit scoring in his last three straight. That includes 23 points, five rebounds, five assists and a steal in his last appearance.
Sessions is the hot pickup on the Bucks right now, and there are plenty of players we’d consider jettisoning for him. He’ll be on the road against the Warriors tonight, which could turn into a shootout.
