Daily Fantasy NBA 3/27/14: Matchup Plays and Value Picks
Fantasy Basketball Daily Leagues: Sleeper Picks and Advice for Tonight's Matchups
March 27, 2014
The NBA action is relatively slow tonight (four games), but fantasy owners who are still battling it out shouldn’t take any time to rest. With that in mind, let’s take our daily look at the trending players in the fantasy basketball world, and see if any of these guys are worth a trip to the waiver wire ahead of their upcoming matchups.
Ramon Sessions, PG/SG, Milwaukee Bucks: Everyone’s talking about Sessions right now, and as a result he’s become one of the most popular fantasy adds over the past couple of days. He’s coming off a career-high 28 points with six rebounds and seven assists against the Clippers, which gives him six straight double-digit scoring performances.
Sessions is cooking, and is just about the only thing to like up there in Milwaukee. Add him immediately if he’s still out there in your league. He gets the Lakers tonight.

Xavier Henry, SG/SF, Los Angeles Lakers: Speaking of the Lakers, let’s stick with that L.A.-Milwaukee matchup and check out Henry. He was one of the beneficiaries of a sloppy Knicks team coming to town on Tuesday, jacking up 22 points, three rebounds, two steals and a block in the Lakers’ blowout win.
Henry has a torn ligament in his wrist that has caused some trepidation among fantasy owners, but he looks like he’s good to go anyway. He should get plenty of action tonight against the Bucks.
Chris Kaman, PF/C, Los Angeles Lakers: If you’re in search of a lower-end big man, you could do worse than Kaman right now. He was another player who went off against the hapless Knicks on Tuesday, putting up 13 points, nine rebounds, three assists and a block.
Kaman is coming off a foot injury, but looked pretty good in 23 minutes of action during his return. With Pau Gasol continuing to have health issues, Kaman could see another up-tick in minutes and performance in Milwaukee this evening.
Samuel Dalembert, C, Dallas Mavericks: Here’s another big man with some upside, and he’s a relative newcomer to the waiver wire to boot. Sunday’s 12-point, 15-rebound, seven block game put him on a lot of people’s radar, and his 10-point, seven-rebound follow-up didn’t hurt matters, either.
Dalembert gets minutes during certain lineup situations, so he’s not a slam dunk (pun intended) every night. Still, he’s got a great upside in blocks specifically, so if he goes off against the Clippers tonight he’ll serve you well.
Terrence Jones, SF/PF, Houston Rockets: Monday’s game against the Bobcats put Jones back on the fantasy map once again. He came away with 18 points, seven rebounds and two assists, which gives him five straight double-digit scoring outings.
Jones will sit if his shots aren’t falling, so as long as he stays hot he’ll get enough minutes to be effective in fantasy. With the Rockets on a hot streak, and a cupcake matchup against the woeful Sixers tonight, he’s looking pretty good as a potential add.
