Fantasy Basketball News: Injury Update 2/25/15
Fantasy Basketball Daily Leagues: The Latest News and Outlooks on Ailing Players
February 25, 2015
We’re getting into a hefty NBA schedule tonight (12 games), so this morning makes a great time to visit with some of the current injury situations out there and see how they relate to the world of fantasy basketball. We’ve got our usual lineup of notable players for you this morning, so let’s see how everyone’s doing today and what it’ll mean to your roster.
We’ve got a couple of questionable Lakers heading into tonight’s game in Utah. Both G Nick Young and C Robert Sacre share that designation.
Both players had MRIs on Monday--Young on his knee and Sacre on his foot. Neither test revealed anything major to worry about, so they should both be back on the court soon.

Speaking of the Lakers, guard Ronnie Price will be having surgery today to get rid of a bone spur in his elbow.
We’ll get a more concrete timetable on his return once the procedure has been completed and he’s been examined.
Derrick Rose owners should be used to dealing with injury issues by now, and we’ve got another one to look after.
Rose will be undergoing surgery (again) on his torn meniscus (again), so he'll be out for a little while at least. We won't get a concrete timeline until the surgery is done, but the best-case scenario would be around six weeks. For all fantasy intents and purposes, he's done for the year.
While we’re on the subject of the Bulls, let’s look at Kirk Hinrich and Taj Gibson. Both were able to practice a little bit yesterday, and there seems to be some optimism that both will be able to play tonight.
Both players are recovering from illness, so it may take a few days for them to get back to 100 percent.
New Buck Michael Carter-Williams should be able to make his debut tonight, and lo and behold it’s in a game against the Sixers.
Carter-Williams has been out for a half-dozen games due to a foot injury, but we should get to see how Milwaukee plans to use him (or at least get a glimpse of it) tonight.
The Rockets’ Patrick Beverley is officially questionable for tonight’s game against the Clippers.
Beverley is a victim of the illness that’s sweeping through the league, and he was unable to play in Monday’s game.
LaMarcus Aldridge is planning on playing tonight against the Spurs, according to the team. He missed out on Sunday’s game with a sprained thumb but practiced yesterday.
