Fantasy Baseball Daily Leagues: Sleeper Picks and Advice for Upcoming Matchups
May 25, 2015
We’re almost all the way through the long holiday weekend, and for us fantasy baseball owners, today is a great day to look forward to the upcoming series around the league. We’ve got a few notable adds trending on the waiver wire right now, so let’s take a moment to visit with the numbers to see who’s right for your team.
Ryan Howard, 1B, Philadelphia Phillies: We’ve talked about Howard a couple of times over the past week or so, and he’s worth visiting again. In his last four starts, he’s got eight hits with five runs, three homers and four RBI to his credit.
The 35-year-old Howard has enjoyed a stellar season thus far, and he’s a must-own player all across the board in fantasy. He’ll be in New York to see the Mets this week.

Josh Hamilton, OF, Texas Rangers: Hamilton is trending on the wire right now, thanks to an announcement yesterday that he’ll be activated from the DL today.
Hamilton is coming off shoulder surgery and has been rehabbing for the past couple of months. He played a dozen games at the Triple-A level, logging a .364 average and six RBI with a homer. He’s worth an optimistic pickup for the Cleveland series.
Tim Lincecum, SP/RP, San Francisco Giants: Lincecum has enjoyed something of a resurgence in the early-going this year, and he’s a popular pickup in fantasy prior to each start. He’ll get the start in Milwaukee today.
Lincecum is coming off a nice seven-inning performance against the Dodgers, where he posted no earned on three hits. He’s rocking a 2.08 ERA with a 1.22 WHIP so far.
Brandon Crawford, SS, San Francisco Giants: Before we leave San Francisco, let’s check out Crawford, who has been stellar as of late. Heading into yesterday’s finale against Colorado, he had an eight-game hit streak going, posting eight runs, a homer and 14 RBI in that frame. The team rested him for yesterday’s game.
Crawford is an absolute must-own in fantasy right now, as he’s having a career year thus far. He’ll get the chance to keep it going today as the Brewers series starts.
Wilin Rosario, C/1B, Colorado Rockies: Rosario has posted some nice numbers as of late, and he’s getting some fantasy attention because of it. In the first two games of the Giants series, he managed four hits, a run and an RBI, giving him eight on the year with a nice .318 average.
Rosario and company will be heading to Cincinnati starting today, so look his way if you’re in need of a backstop for your roster.
