Fantasy Baseball Update 7/6/15: Key Matchups Early This Week
Fantasy Baseball Daily Leagues: Sleeper Picks and Advice for Upcoming Matchups
July 6, 2015
Monday means it’s time for us fantasy baseball owners to check up on the MLB schedule and plan ahead for the week’s matchups. With that in mind, we’ve got a few up-and-coming waiver wire considerations for you this morning, and these guys may very well be putting up some big numbers this week.
Gerardo Parra, OF, Milwaukee Brewers: Parra stormed onto the waiver wire scene over the weekend, and has really come on strong in his team’s past couple of series. Heading into yesterday’s finale, he had a four-game multi-hit streak going with six runs, three RBI, a homer and a stolen base in that frame. He posted two more hits and a solo homer yesterday to keep it going.
Parra and company will be home today to start a series against the Braves, so give him a look for those games.

Adam Lind, 1B, Milwaukee Brewers: Before we move off the Brew Crew, let’s check out Lind. Through Saturday, he had six hits, six runs, two homers and six RBI in his previous four games. He had two hits and three RBI yesterday to raise his RBI streak to a whopping nine games.
Lind and Parra may well be getting traded very soon, which could help bump up their RBI and run totals. Grab one or both before the big move.
Cameron Maybin, OF, Atlanta Braves: Maybin had a nice weekend. He logged six hits, three runs, a homer, two RBI and a steal in the first two games against the Phillies. He kept it going with a hit yesterday.
Maybin is having an across-the-board great year. He’s producing in all categories and is pretty close to being a must-have guy in most fantasy formats. He’ll be in Milwaukee this week.
Mark Buehrle, SP, Toronto Blue Jays: Let’s head to the hill and visit with Buehrle, who is having a nice run lately. In his last outing, he put up seven innings of one-earned ball, allowing four hits and striking out seven in a win.
Buehrle hasn’t lost since May 23, and hasn’t allowed more than two earned in a start since May 29. He’s absolutely on fire and is a nice pickup for his return to Chicago today against the White Sox.
Chris Heston, SP/RP, San Francisco Giants: Another intriguing option on the mound today is Heston, who is coming off a six-inning no-decision in Miami where he allowed three earned on five hits.
Heston is playing well overall this year, logging eight wins with a 3.78 ERA and 1.23 WHIP with 80 strikeouts. He’ll be at home against the incoming Mets today and is a nice fantasy choice.
