Fantasy Baseball 2015: Weekend Sleepers 7/24
Fantasy Baseball Daily Leagues: Sleeper Picks and Advice for Upcoming Matchups
July 24, 2015
We’re cruising into another MLB weekend, which means it’s time once again to check out some of the waiver wire and sleeper options in the world of fantasy baseball. Let’s visit the numbers and see who’s trending right now.
Rougned Odor, 2B, Texas Rangers: Odor has appeared in this space several times this season, and he’s been great recently. In the Colorado series, he logged six hits, five runs, a homer and four RBI.
Odor has been awesome since coming back from Triple-A ball last month, and the hits keep on coming. He’ll head into L.A. for the Angels starting today.

Preston Tucker, OF, Houston Astros: Tucker is a fresh face in the fantasy game, and he’s trending after a big day against Boston on Wednesday. He logged two homers in that one, giving him three in just two games. He came up empty yesterday, though.
Tucker had a crummy June, but he’s back in a big way now. He’s still widely available in most fantasy leagues, so grab him before the KC games this weekend.
Jung Ho Kang, 3B/SS, Pittsburgh Pirates: We’re pretty high on Kang right now, as are many other fantasy owners. Through the Royals series, he had a nice nine-game hit streak going, with six of those being multi-hit outings. He kept it going yesterday with two more hits, a run and an RBI.
Kang is looking pretty good these days, especially at a thin fantasy position. The Nationals series continues today through the weekend.
Taylor Jungmann, SP, Milwaukee Brewers: Now let’s head to the mound and check out Jungmann. He’s got a great streak going right now, with wins in his last three appearances (allowing just one earned in each).
Jungmann hasn’t recorded a loss since June 14, and hasn’t allowed more than two earned in a game since June 19. He’ll be in Arizona tomorrow for the D-Backs.
Jonathan Niese, SP, New York Mets: Niese is another sleeper SP option. He’s coming off a 7.2-inning no-decision in St. Louis, allowing no earned on five hits.
Niese is 2-0 in his last three games, allowing no earned in two of those. He’ll take the hill at home today against the incoming Dodgers.
