Fantasy Football 2015: Week 8 Waiver Wire Update
2015-10-26 11:00:00 EDT
It’s Tuesday, which means it’s time for us fantasy football owners to head to the waiver wire and visit the new pickups out there for our rosters. We’ve got some underperformers and injury situations to deal with, so let’s see who’s trending as a potential add heading into Week 8.
Darren McFadden, RB, Dallas Cowboys: We’ll start out on the RB stage this morning, as there are some notable names atop the waiver wire chart. First up is McFadden, who logged a stellar game against the Giants with 152 yards and a touchdown on the ground.
It seems McFadden has clawed his way to the top slot in the Cowboys backfield, and should earn the most touches going forward. He’s the guy to have back there.
Alfred Blue, RB, Houston Texans: The loss of Texans RB Arian Foster will sting many a fantasy owner this week, but Blue is here to fill in that void. He’s the next man up after Foster’s season-ending Achilles injury.
Blue will get a chance to earn the lead job this weekend against Tennessee, but then goes on a bye. Foster owners will have to formulate a plan over the next couple of weeks at least.
Eric Ebron, TE, Detroit Lions: Many owners stayed away from Ebron this past week due to his injury. He burst out of the gate against the Vikings, however, with five grabs for 89 yards and a touchdown.
Ebron moves into lower-end starting TE territory this week against the Chiefs. Keep in mind that he’s on a bye after that, however.
Danny Amendola, WR, New England Patriots: Amendola came out of the Jets game this weekend with nine grabs for 86 yards and a touchdown. He had nine total targets for the second week in a row.
Amendola now has two straight weeks with at least seven catches and double-digit fantasy points. He’s an intriguing lower-end WR option for Thursday against the Dolphins.

Minnesota Vikings Defense: Let’s finish up today with the Vikes defense, as they’re one of the hot pickups this week. They held Detroit to 17 points this past weekend, coming up with seven sacks.
Minnesota has at least eight fantasy points in four of the last five games. They’ll get a favorable matchup against the Chicago Bears offense on Sunday.
