Fantasy Football 2015: Week 10 Waiver Wire Update
Taking a Look at the Week 10 Waiver Wire Trends
November 10, 2015
It’s Tuesday, and fantasy football Week 9 is in the books. Now it’s time to start looking forward to Week 10, and we owners can do that by taking a trip to the waiver wire to see which players are trending out there. We’ve got some injuries and byes to deal with in this next round, so let’s take a closer look at the hot adds and see if anyone’s right for your team.
James White, RB, New England Patriots: Those owners who are short on running backs should check out the Patriots’ White. He’s reportedly the top candidate for expanded work now that Dion Lewis is done for the season.
White has a pretty good buzz around him this year, but hasn’t had much chance to prove himself on the field just yet. We could see our first glimpse of him against the Giants this week.

James Starks, RB, Green Bay Packers: Perhaps a bit more of a sure thing is Starks, who comes in after a monster game in Carolina. He was great in the receiving game in that one, thoroughly outperforming an injured Eddie Lacy.
Starks is only owned in about 40 percent of the leagues out there, but should see a significant jump by tomorrow. Lacy seems to be healing well so far this week but is no sure thing for Detroit on Sunday.
Wes Welker, WR, St. Louis Rams: Everyone remembers Welker. He was the Patriots/Broncos star who racked up some impressive numbers on the receiving end of Tom Brady and Peyton Manning’s passes.
Welker was signed by the Rams yesterday, and should immediately see at least a small role. That said, he’s a deep sleeper at this point and should only be utilized in emergency situations.
Karlos Williams, RB, Buffalo Bills: Any LeSean McCoy owners out there will want to grab Williams as a backup plan. He posted 23 fantasy points in Week 9, logging 110 rush yards and a pair of touchdowns against the Dolphins.
McCoy is on a short week (the Bills play Thursday against the Jets) and may not get healthy in time to contribute. Williams could be in for a lot of touches, though this isn’t the greatest matchup.
Blake Bortles, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars: Need a quarterback this week? Bortles is your guy. He posted 22.44 fantasy points against the Jets in Week 9, logging 381 yards and a pair of passing touchdowns.
Bortles has at least 22 fantasy points in three of his last four outings and gets a cupcake matchup this weekend against the inept Ravens pass defense. He’s a green light.
