Fantasy Football 2015: Injury Update 11/23
Fantasy Football Injury News: Week 12 Outlook on Ailing Players
November 23, 2015
It’s a fantasy football Monday, and that means we owners need to take note of all the new and ongoing injury situations to key names in the NFL. With that in mind, let’s check out some of the ailing players out there and try to get a feel for what things will look like in Week 12.
Justin Forsett is done for the season. He broke both bones in his forearm yesterday against the Rams after getting pummeled on a tackle in the first quarter.
Looking ahead, Forsett will likely come back to the Ravens next year but may not remain the feature back. This season, Buck Allen should slide into the No. 1 RB role and will be one of the leading waiver wire candidates this week. Terrance West will also probably get some work.

Devonta Freeman came out of the Colts game yesterday due to a concussion. He was replaced by Tevin Coleman.
Freeman will have to go through the league’s concussion protocol before getting back on the field, so fantasy owners should get a backup plan together over the next couple of days.
The Ravens also lost Joe Flacco to a torn ACL (and possibly a torn MCL as well) yesterday on the team’s game-winning drive against the Rams. He was able to stay in the game just long enough to set up the field goal and help the team escape with a victory.
Flacco is done for the season and may not even be ready for Week 1 of 2016. It’s been a rough year for the Ravens injury-wise, so any defense going against them for the remainder of the year is a definite fantasy consideration. Matt Schaub will take over at QB.
Case Keenum was another casualty in the Ravens game; he sustained a concussion in the fourth quarter. Amazingly, he stayed in the game for some reason.
Keenum’s stats were horrid, so we could see Nick Foles back in action for the Rams in Week 12 against the Bengals. Not that it matters much in fantasy.
Charcandrick West strained his hamstring during yesterday’s big win over the Chargers. The team is calling him “day-to-day” for now, but we’re a little less optimistic.
West owners will want to watch him in practice this week. If he can’t go against the Bills, it’ll be Spencer Ware taking the handoffs.
Frank Gore was limping on the sidelines late in his team’s win over the Falcons, and Ahmad Bradshaw closed out the game at RB.
Gore’s injury is to his knee--or possibly his quad as well. For now, there seems to be some optimism that he’ll play Week 12, but that won’t stop Bradshaw from being a top waiver wire pickup this week.
