Fantasy Football 2015: Week 13 Start/Sit
Who to Start and Who to Sit in Fantasy Football Week 13
December 3, 2015
It’s Thursday, and not only does that mean it’s time for the NFL to get going on Week 13, it’s also time for our weekly dose of Start/Sit in the world of fantasy football. We’ve got some tough borderline calls to make this week, so let’s check out the stats and see what we can come up with on those lineups.
USA TODAY Sports
Marcus Mariota, QB, Tennessee Titans: Mariota has been hot and cold in his rookie season, but seems to do well against sub-par teams. He’ll get one of those this weekend against the Jaguars, who gave up over 18 points to Mariota himself in their last meeting. He’s a nice lower-end QB start.
Javorius Allen, RB, Baltimore Ravens: There aren’t too many players left standing on the Ravens offense this year. That’s actually good news for Allen owners, who should see a heavy workload in Week 13.
Even better, the Ravens will get a nice running matchup against the Dolphins defense, who are hemorrhaging rushing yards.
Jarvis Landry, WR, Miami Dolphins: Landry is probably already on your fantasy radar this week, and we’ll give him a recommendation as well. He chewed up the Jets for 13 catches, 165 yards and a score last week, and will see a horrible Ravens secondary in Week 13. Landry should be in for another big game and should be locked into your lineup.
Russell Wilson, QB, Seattle Seahawks: We’re not terribly high on Wilson right now, even with his recent performances being better than usual. He’s bound to come back to earth soon, and that will likely be in Week 13 against a very solid Vikings defense that doesn’t surrender a whole lot of fantasy points to quarterbacks.
Eddie Lacy, RB, Green Bay Packers: Lacy has earned a little bit of respect in fantasy circles recently, thanks to a few good games statistically.
That said, Lacy gets a hot Lions defense this week (tonight, actually) and he has never scored a touchdown against Detroit in his career.
Jordan Matthews, WR, Philadelphia Eagles: Mathews came out of Week 12 with 12 points, posting 60 yards and a touchdown against the Lions.
Don’t expect a repeat performance; Matthews’ score came in catch-up mode and shouldn’t have even happened. He gets a rough matchup against the Patriots in Week 13 and should be firmly back on your bench.
