Fantasy Football 2015: Week 14 Start/Sit
Who to Start and Who to Sit in Fantasy Football Week 14
December 10, 2015
Thursday means it’s not only time for the new NFL week, but it’s also the day we do our weekly Start/Sit recommendations in the world of fantasy football. Today it’s time for the Week 14 edition, and we’ve got a few borderline calls to talk about this morning. Let’s take a closer look at the numbers.
USA TODAY Sports
Jameis Winston, QB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Winston has shown some great things this year with both his feet and his arm. He put up two combined scores against the Falcons, proving himself a nice lower-end start in fantasy.
Winston gets a cupcake matchup this weekend against the Saints, and he should have no problem moving the football.
Ameer Abdullah, RB, Detroit Lions: Abdullah’s Week 13 numbers weren’t terribly impressive--he rushed 13 times for 67 yards against the Packers--but he’s doing enough to warrant lower-end RB consideration in fantasy.
He’ll get the biggest share of the touches moving forward, and has a nice matchup against a struggling Rams run defense in Week 14.
Eric Decker, WR, New York Jets: We never thought we’d see the day when we recommended a Jets WR, much less a No. 2, but Decker looks great these days. He’s coming off eight catches for 101 yards against the Giants, and has consistently put up solid fantasy numbers this season.
Decker should be locked in as a WR2 going into Week 14 against the Titans.
Jeremy Hill, RB, Cincinnati Bengals: Hill had a good week on the ground against the Browns, posting 22 rushes for 98 yards and a touchdown. He’s been rolling over the past few outings, and would be hard to take out of any fantasy lineup.
That said, Hill gets a very difficult Steelers run defense in a rivalry game this weekend. Temper your expectations.
Amari Cooper, WR, Oakland Raiders: It’s time to show Cooper the bench. He caught four balls in Week 13 for 69 yards, resulting in a pretty forgettable day. Now he comes back to the best pass defense in the NFL in the Broncos.
Cooper put up four grabs for 47 yards in Week 5 against Denver, so expect a similar result here.
Dez Bryant, WR, Dallas Cowboys: Speaking of benching wide receivers, Bryant is pretty much done in fantasy terms. He was basically forgotten in the first half of the ugly Monday night game against the Redskins, leading to one of his patented sideline tantrums.
Bryant has crashed and burned without Tony Romo, and should not be on your starting roster if you can help it.
